A recent study of the cultural and creative sectors in Uganda reveals that the associated policies and guidelines are disjointed, and initiatives for education and training receive inadequate funding.

The research carried out by the National Planning Authority (NPA) highlighted insufficient funding and limited access to capital as key issues. It also pointed out that supporting products and services are mainly found in Kampala, and noted a substantial deficiency in the promotion and branding of Uganda’s creative offerings.
